My Teaching Philosophy

Becoming an effective teacher is a goal of mine. As a teacher I will constantly work toward improving my performance to affect my student’s lives. Effective teachers know how to open the door and invite their students to learn. With the support of students and their families, we will create a classroom environment that will recognize and respect individuality. I will set my students on a journey to be successful; it is essential as a teacher to understand that each child is a unique individual with special qualities and needs. I will create positive expectations for student achievement, become a strong classroom manager and design lessons for student mastery. I will consistently support each student’s learning and offer a variety of meaningful teaching styles. Using these elements of effective teaching I will give my student’s the tools to excel and become lifelong learners. I will also enjoy the path of not only making my students successful but becoming a successful teacher as well.
